I don't own one, but from playing alot of them in music stores, it seems that a PRS would get you going there. JK plays one of them every now and then, although he probably did a bunch of mods to it. But, I was playing a cheap PRS SE in a Sam Ash and was struck at how "Tiger-y" it was.

Nice rephrase of the original question, Jon S. Clearly there are more interesting guitars out there than what could be found at Musician's Friend, etc., and those custom guitars people have suggested look awesome. But I was indeed thinking about new, off-the-shelf guitars that get the closest to the Tiger sound, even if close is still a mile away.

Clearly a lot of Tiger's tone came from Jerry's fingers, head, heart, and soul. The fact that Jerry got his signature sounds out of a Les Paul, SG, and strat (albeit the ones he played are now vintage instruments) tell me that in his hands any instrument would sound Jerry-esque. But there is something about the Tiger sound that really resonates with me, probably because that was the axe he played for most of the shows I actually saw.
