Man what an episode last night... Not sure if this was mentioned but I like many Lost fans laid in bed thinking about the happenings. Is it possible that Syiad is now Jacob? There can only be one reason Jacob wanted them to take Syiad to the temple... The ninja guy said if we dont' save hiim we are all screwed. When they fired off the signal Richard knew it was over... Good Vs. Evil

John Loche was a good guy with good intentions
Syaid was a guy wih a troubled past who tortured many people.

Now John is the evil guy and Syiad is Jacob ( the good guy)???

I love the alternate universe and can't wait to see where this goes. This show is like a 5 year long Darkstar with so many different notes.

But I really HATE the AR (alternate reality) since it took me so long to accept the tenant "whatever happened, happened" this blows that up.

Presumably this is an alternate or parallel timeline!

In 1977 Juliet detonated the bomb which ensured the incident never happened. Therefore they didn't need the Swan, or to enter the numbers every 108 minutes, or the plane crashing, etc, etc, etc. And therefore flight 815 flew over it just fine.

However, another unpredicted consequence is that the island is now underwater.

But keep in mind we are watching our friends in 2007 but flight 815 was in 2004.....

I do subscribe to the theory that Jacob is now Sayid.

Its a great show.. My wife and I love it...,,,,,, However,... I feel like its taken a lot of influence from Stephen King. Lots of simiarities between LOST and the DT series and its various tie-ins.
I think King is a ghost writer and has been since day 1.

In the alternate universe Big man Hurley was still a lotto winner but had nothing but his self proclaimed best of luck. Saywer is still a con man I assume. Is Saywer planning on conning Big man Hurley?

Actually they are all different:
John was scared
Bernard's wife was not scared
Sawyer seemed genuine
Hurley wasn't cursed
Boone didn't bang his sister
Kate killed somebody else (I think)
Charlie was suicidal

Everyone was different but Cindy....

If you compare that scene against the original on the pilot there were continuity differences and I believe they were intentional. Bernards wife's hair and jacks hair were both different, and on the original flight Cindy slips jack 2 nippers of booze, on this one she gives him 1.
So Jughead did not put them back on the exact same path. That became obvious when Desmond was there, Desmond was not on the original flight, he was on craphole island hitting the button (and him not hitting the button was what made that flight crash).

This show becomes pretty intense and my wife and I spend a lot of time hashing this stuff out.We usually are wrong! It is an obsession but its pleasin'.
