I have only heard great things about Fargen's amps. Never tried one though.

That video demonstrates what I've been saying - a sweeter BF sound. Glad it's out there!

I don't know what the problems are with the Re-Issues...I have a TRRI and am enjoying it, although I haven't really played anything else. Crystal clean tone, works well with pedals, and is super loud. What more can you ask for? I remember reading that Jimmy Herring was using the 65 TRRI when he was with the Dead.

Do a search, lots of folks with bad experiences, self included.

Warm fat delicious tone.

If you experienced dozens of amps over the years you may be able to understand what some of us are hearing on the TRRI. Now you may still after 20 amps love your TRRI and you won't be alone but it's the experience of owning dozens of amps that turn many people off. Just like women and motorcycles :P

Ditto to everything Strumminsix just said!!

RI's may sound ok with some tweaks and break-in time, but they definitely do NOT possess the glory and warmth and 3-dimensionality of the real deal. And from a long term service and tech point of view, they really do SUCK to work on. Why pay for a RI, when you can find the real thing for the same or less money. I'd rather have an ulgy and worn real Fender than a fake pretty one.

+1 Brad and Strummin I sold my RI evil twin even though I had bought it new and had a nice road case. It was pretty and it worked great but it was noisy and I never could record it. Even after new tubes it just never did it for me at live levels.
