Here's mine in the chop shop .... with Wolf inlay mock up
Love them Ibanez Gits!
NICE!!! How large did you make the Wolf picture for the mock up? That is something I thought about doing too.
Yo Paul Dude
I'm letting the inlay guy - :hail: - and Brian - :hail: - do their thing so I'm not sure about the sizing of the inlay vs. the mock up.
The pic was to show me what the Git would look like without the Ibanez ' cloud ' thing ...as seen here .... the feeling being that the 'cloud' thing would cram the inlay into a smaller area than it should be ...

I love the classic Ibanez Cloud tailpiece, but I would absolutely leave it off if you are doing the Wolf inlay.

I do too Jeff Dude - apparently it is 100% cosmetic - so no probs there ......
If you get a chance check out Bil's ( the inlay guy ) website .....
He does incredible work.
the stuff i want done is like cartoons compared to the intricate stuff he does.

Wow. Didn't mean to steer the thread off-topic, but thanks for the Ibanez porn nonetheless! Those all look fantastic. I've got all the parts, and am looking for examples of different layouts for my 400 (I know - I've been talking about it forever; just haven't been able to pull the trigger  ).

TJ, I see more switches on your MC-Wolf  than I can account for... three for the pups oviously, one for the OBEL... what are the other two for? And, I'm assuming you've got master volume, two tones and a blend knob?

Jeff and Tapestry - questions about the upper bout: Is Jeff using the three way, or is it just hanging there (I was thinking of either using it for the OBEL switch or maybe just putting in a red jewel light w/led to indicate when the Waldo buffer is powered on) and Tapestry, is that a 5-way rotary on yours?

Hey, when I take a thread off-topic, I aim to keep it that way! :D

Thks, guys!

Chuckles,
No, the 3 way up top is now non-functional. I didnt know what to do with it when I put the 5 way down below, so i did nothing....
I use the OBEL switch more than most people I know (I pretty much always setup my effects for a certain song before the song and then use the switch to bring them in during the song instead of tap dancing), so I like it down low.

I like the LED idea, hmmm......

Kewl!

Yeah, I got the idea for the led, believe it or not, from an old GP article I saw when in high school (82?) with a Weir story in it. There was an article I remembered about the lead guitar player from Heart, and he had dozens of red led's all over his strat... don't know why it's always stuck with me!

Yeah, I put in a 5 way where the 3 way toggle was. It works.
