Oh Man, I have a Dead Head gig tomorrow... What Mike J. tribute tune would Jerry have done???

Maybe the better question is what MJ tune would anyone in your audience even know other than Billie Jean and Beat It?

I vaguely remember really liking some Jackson 5 tune when I used to watch TV on saturday mornings when I was about 6 years old. I'm sure there's got to be a couple good funky tunes they did. You could all sport costume 'fros and go for it.

Speaking of "ABC", on my drive home last night, listening to KBOO, they played the instrumental track to GnR's "Sweet Child Of Mine", with the Jacksons' vocal track to "ABC" layered over it, which turns out aligns near-PERFECTLY! Hilarious stuff.

This was followed by a version of "Beat It" sung in some Southeast-Asian language, perhaps Vietnamese...

I'm sorry but I just don't understand eulogizing and waxing nostalgic over an f-ing pedophile. He traumatized little children folks. That far outweighs any silly pop songs the guy may have sung and danced to IMO. I'm sorry the guy had a shitty childhood, (many of us did) but there is no justification for the wacko things he did and I just feel they should not be forgotten or overshadowed because he sold a lot of records.

Really has zero impact on me. Never really liked his solo stuff and as far as talent goes, he was a great entertainer but he was certainly not a musician.

Too bad Farah's passing will be overshadowed by MJ.

But Back in the 80's the best shows to go to where Springsteen, Grateful dead and Micheal Jackson - A freind of ours saw a Micheal Jackson concert in colorado and said that people where passing out from over excitement. I always liked Micheal but he did crazy.

As far as I know he was acquited on all charges. If so, I think it's unfair to call him a child molester. Yes by the evidence, he looked guilty but that was up to the court to decide . If he got off scott free and did do those things then maybe he'll be judged by a higher power.

The flip side of that is that Jacko (MJ = Michael Jordan) has to- what?? share the spotlight!

He may have gotten off the second time, but the first time the boy was able to describe his genitalia in detail and Wacko Jacko settled out of court for a rumored 20mil. Sounds pretty guilty to me and just shows that with enough money you can buy yourself out of almost anything, regardless of what you've done.

I have to agree. No matter how much success you have in business or in making money how we treat those closest to us everyday is the best measure of greatness. Any grown man who admits to sharing his bed with young boys (or girls for that matter) is a travesty...no matter how many records you sell or how much money you have. I despise the way our society worships fame and money over character and intergrity.
