I think I am going to go with the Eurotube HRD full Tube Change. Any of you got that before?

I have with good results. Be sure to go with the pack that gives you a 12dw7 for v2! It makes the drive channel usable!

I went with the Fender HRD Max Headroom Option
Price: 68.00
Description: This kit uses a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC's in a moderate grade for headroom along with an ECC81 for V1 to drop the gain in the front end, an ECC832 for V2 to drop the gain in the drive channel and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V3. This will get maximum power and headroom for you Jazz and Country players.

Cant go too far wrong with that. Just make sure you bias the amp after you swap out the tubes.

Have you ever run a 12at7/ecc81 in your v1 before?
Many players, self included, do not like them at all.

imho, your V1 tube is going to have as much to do with your sound as your pickup, or your speaker or anything else, and one of the cheapest MAJOR upgrades one can make to an amp . A JJ ECC81? Obvs I already opined that I don't care for JJ or any new Russian/Serbian/Chinese preamp tubes I have tried ( I think JJ or Svetlana 6L6's are decent, but then again I am an SS power convert and have probably never used any real "premium" output tubes)... but most any 81(=12at7) in V1 will probably sound lifeless to you if you are a dynamic guitarist and like to be able to dig into the strings for a bit of overdrive. If you want a less "dirt", a less drastic approach would be to try a 5751 in V1, preferably a JAN G.E., with the green printing. Very hi-fi sound; I tried it for awhile but went back to the hotter, greasier 7025's.
