Well, ok. Your picture has to be up online somewhere. Then in your new post, you click the "IMG" button and the open and close image tags will appear on either side of your cursor. Then you paste the URL for the picture in between the tags.

Thanks Emoto. That is the key... it has to be somewhere on the Internet. That means hosting the picture or music on a system that is out there in cyberspace. For the majority of Internet users that is.

If you put your cursor on a picture and right click, go to properties, left click and it will show you the character string used for the location of that picture. Try a couple. You will see MySpace and PhotoBucket or like Crazy Fingers pic, a local copy on the forum? Special privs there? I dunno.

My question is though, once you put something up on an online server, is it yours anymore???

When you buy internet service, it usually comes with some web space. Go to your provider's home page and research what your account comes with, if you are unsure.

There are free hosting sites out there that can do a decent job. I use smugmug.com which is a pay service, but I like the service, so I don't mind paying. If anyone decides to try them, here is a $5.00 discount code you can use: mStnWv71mNkjo

Your pictures still belong to you, but it can be difficult to police. Most of my galleries are not visible to the public, so I am not terribly worried about it.

I actually just added the image as an attachment. I have special powers.

Here is a pic from Tigertrats last gig (1/16/09). I went over to catch his set after knocking out a 7-10pm Dead-Set of my own at the Fire On The Mountain chicken-wing joint here in town.
That's me on the bottom (I have no recollection of this picture being taken) with three other local Deadhead musicians.

That's classic Shreddy Pete! also in pic, RR's former bassist "The X Man" at upper right... plus Pete's "Tuesday Jam" bassist at upper left and a killer keyboardist who shall remain nicknameless.
