Thank you Pappy....

I do a 4th of July thing every year (have been for the past five years) and typically, my "Studio" is the gathering place for the like minded. Nothing nearly as formal or well thought-out as "Potters", just a bunch of friends having a good time. I do this at my house and I am VERY lucky to have room for the 20-25 folks that showed up this year. All kicked in on food, fireworks, etc..... The next step....

I have already started, after reading your take on the week-end, I need to get a few more players involved. I can't tell you how much I am impressed with the all for one attitude your group of a couple of hundred has. Good stuff.

Given a few more years, I can only hope my folks will "Bring it".

I hear what you are saying.... I DO NOT want the drunk frat type crowd (I'm 43 years, old Married with kids for Pete sake... I'm a little past that...). Just lot's of love, harmony and music.

One of my favorite pictures were the two guys hugging each other. Don't get me wrong, I only swing from one side of the plate, but that was quite moving... I asssume that was two old friends that havn't seen each other in a while... It's all love....

I should quit... My hippy-ness is showing....

Many, many more years to Potter's. Keep it low and keep it slow.

The 2 dudes hugging was a candid shot of me & my brother, Adam, whom I haven't seen for several months since he moved to NJ from Pittsburgh. We had an awesome weekend and I got to spend some good QT w/ my kid brother. My wife took that from about 60 yards away.

David (CauseBass) is sort of a typograhical retard. I love him, but he is VERY lazy with his spelling. It never was, never will be "POTTERS". It's Potter. As in the name of the Pennsylvania county where the party takes place....he kills me.

Anyway, sounds like you're in the right frame of mind, Phil. You gotta start somewhere! 25 people with 5 years under your belt and everyone on the same page is a good thing. As someone once told me...

I would like to retract my accusation of David (Causebass) improperly naming this thread. It was Steve. Sorry, Steve...but it's true. It's not "Potters"... hehe....

David IS a horrible speller and can be quite lazy with the spell-check - BUT it wasn't his doing. I promised him a retraction.

Yeah, guilty as charged. There is a pond near me called 'Potter's Pond'; I guess the extra 's' came from that name.

I think I can safely say that I'll be in attendance next year. It sounds like a great weekend: good music, good people, good food. What else would ya need?
