I suddenly glad to be from new york.
I'm have a giggle thinking about the camping area. everyone will have a guitar. That means I wont be the popular guy around the fire anymore. sounds like a blast. Theres alot of good dead bands in buffalo. Sonic Garden being my favorite, there also a killer ABB band called Revival in the area.

I'm SURE there are plenty of BANDS that would come out, but I'm also sure that theCAUSE would be more than happy to back up some folks too. If, indeed there was going to be a backing band, it'd have to be chosen first, then the location would come next. As I was just messin' around w/ having it in Pittsburgh, it would seem only right to have it in the place where the backing band was located. SO, if the backing band was in NY, it should be in NY NEAR the backing band's home-base.

THEN you gotta figure out the finances. Booking the venue, paying the bands, etc. If you get a "cause", you may get more money raised and then you just pay the bands' expenses & the venue and the rest goes to whatever charity was chosen....I vote for the Rex Foundation!

Sounds like and awesome idea, sort of an RUKind Family reunion. I'm planning on moving back to the States around July/Aug, and will be on the east coast too, in NC around Charlotte. I'd love to take a road trip and meet folks....

The backing band thing is only for the people on this site who don't have bands. If you HAVE a band, then bring yer band. If you're a guitarist or bassist or vocalist or keyboardist or tambourinist, etc...who does not have a band but wants to perform with a band, there'd be a backing band - or you'd just sit in with another one of the bands. Could easily be coordinated.
