Isn't it G?
Or A?
Losing my mind, haven't played it for awhile...
But, that solo was made for a harp...

This is one of Jerrys must know solos.
Use Blobs Tab and...
To make the 'squeal'sound-hit the string w/the pick and that thumbs nail at the same time.
Its hard..dont give up.Good luck
Yes! Absolutely! The harmonics MAKE this solo... I can't believe an envelope would be an adequate substitute for the feel you can impart with the right hand... but then, I don't have a very good envelope.... :?

If you want the late '80s sound you can add heavy distortion and a hint of phase.

I really would just like the melody(?) that mimics the vocal, so I can try to improvise around it. I know I'm skipping ahead of myself a little, but I thought this might help me get a feel for it, and I love playin' this song.

Any help would be Appreciated. Thanks.
While the song is in Am, Jerry is playing a G major scale. Im pretty sure this is mixolydian mode. Not sure, but it is defineitly a certain mode he is using.
Use the notes of a G scale, but use A notes as your basic starting points.

hmm well the way I hear it Id have to disagree with jenkins completely and say use A minor otherwise known as C Major not G Major. Maybe you were thinkin G Mixolydian because that would be correct.
