Saw Bob a couple of times.
Was at the Dylan/Dead show at JFK.Great show.Til Bob.Started and stopped a tune, broke a string, was real mellow.I think his manager died the night before.
The Dead were great though.I think Jerry played some pedal steel. After Bobs set,the Dead came in w/ a raging Touch.
Saw him at Temple U.Got to this backstage area and watched the show.Real close.Good band and you could understand Bob,too.

Modern Times is a really fine record in my opinion. Workingmans Blues#2 could almost be a latter day Garcia/Hunter song.

I've Dylan live when he's been on and when he hasn't. Truth is, whilst it's great to see a guy like Dylan live, you might as well just buy his records. It's all there and nothing else is really needed.

Saw the Temple show too, Johnny Cash was in the Hospital, Bob played Folsum Prison...right?

Embrace Dylan while we still have him...Right up there with Kerouac and Ginsberg!

'Oh Mercy' is my pick for underrated Dylan. Daniel Lanois produces and plays on it. Very atmospheric.I find myself coming back to it time and again.

I've seen Dylan and just enjoyed just being in the same old barn of a basketball court with him. G.E. Smith was his band leader and he watched Dylan like a hawk in order to throw up ques for the band to follow. Pretty good too.
