along the lines of that old school shit, isnt there something they used to do with melting wax? wish i remembered more and could descrbie it better, but do you any of you know what im getting at?

melting wax... like in a lava lamp!... good for late nights with lots of pot... not sure how you would do that in a concert lighting system though.

i wish i had an overhead projecter to mess around with though, it doesnt seem too hard to do that colored oils thing. are the oils colored themselves or do u just drop food coloring in them... i guess my question is how do the colors stay separate, different oils or what?

oil doesnt mix with water based liquids

ahh so there is a psychedelic mix of food coloring in the water, twisting together as they diffuse into each other. the oil bubbles are pushed around on top, giving a sense of dimension to the colors, and very natural elasticity/surface tension properties. this is to assist your imagination in taking off to new heights. hehehee :smile:

i really would like to try this out. sounds like fun for a house party as well as a concert.
