knopfler's solo on the studio version of "sultans of swing" is amazingly expressive. always made me smile back in the day, especially as how the vocals are saying that he's strictly rhythm he knows all the chords and theres a nasty slide? solo going on in the background.

gonna have to give that one a listen, i got myself all excited.

I remember my Brother in law got that for me a few years ago. I had pneumonia and was holed up for a week. I just listened to that cd for hours on end. Perfect winter weather music!!!!
