I can't think of too many shows where they actually let dogs in the gates.

You might want to look at some of the free shows where there were no security gates or fences. A couple that come to mind happened in and around Golden Gate Park.

I'm glad you cleared that up. I had no idea he was saying "That's Otis". Due to it's timing right after the lyric "Let there be songs to fill the air", I thought he was saying "That's how it is".

rofl... that's good. i actually don't think they had a mandolin in the reckoning ripple, piano substitute, and the american beauty mandolin was david grisman i believe.

there is a show, i believe it's redrocks sometime in 86, and it's the first show after bob had to put down otis. He was drunken from the start of the show and was singing terribly, jerry was doing pretty bad too. apparently jerry walked off the stage for some time during a fire on the mountain jam.
