Thanks for the advice. I found two additional recommendations. Brad Sarno referred me to Dan Jamison and a guy at the Hamer Fan Club recommended Wesley Music. Both on this side of the Mississippi. Pirate Bay shipping looks reasonable.

I’ll pick a place and probably get one repaired to see how it goes. I don’t want to lug a cabinet with two of these!

My vote is for Dan Jamison. He does THE BEST work, is a great player, and is an incredibly down-to-Earth guy. He's more than fair on pricing and I've been very happy with the work that he's done for me in the past. Thanks, Dan!

That being said, before I knew of Dan I used Weber to recone my D120f and was not disappointed.

Whoever you go with, for an Alnico D or K, make sure they can and do recharge the magnet. It has to be done with the cone off so not something you want to leave for later. Not a factor for the E series ceramic magnets.

I sent one of my E120s to Dan Jamison to be re-coned and just got it back. Dan provided fast service and great communication. He measured the ceramic magnet, 13,000 gauss which Dan said is good.

Only a simple test drive so far but I'm liking it. Humbuckers through a JMP 1987, no pedals and living room volume. While bright, not piercing and well balanced. Some tone knob adjustments. Looking forward to trying more volume, pedals, Tele and other amps. May leave it in this cab to gig, can't imagine the weight in my Boogie combo.
