Indeed a tough question. I'm not even a huge Dylan fan and I had a hard time picking just 5.

Funny, I am one of older ones here, but except for Highway 61 Revisited and John Wesley Harding, I don't have much older Dylan. I like the period from Blood on the Tracks to Oh Mercy quite a bit. Also Dylan's stuff on the Last Waltz, especially Forever Young.

well i only said 5 cuz it'll make you think for a minute. obviously its almost too tuff to list, kinda like if you were stranded on a deserted island with only 5 dylan tunes sorta thing.

This is a ridiculously untrue list, because as someone else said, the top 5 can change daily, but for today, at my present state of mind, I'd have to go with (in no particular order):

1. Visions of Johanna
2. Desolation Row
3. Like a Rolling Stone
4. Masterpiece
5. Hurricane

I feel hot, I'm going to go lay down now. But the thing I love most about Dylan is how he is able to describe things that we've all felt sooooooo well. With no disrespect to Robert Hunter, Dylan is the unrefuted, undisputed, best story teller ever.

Period.

This is way too hard. 5 in order of my 5 favirote dylan albums.
