they changed their address. my Hollowbody is about 8-10 weeks out, I think! I can't waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait! It's killing me....I actually had a dream about it last week....how sad. I'll post pics once it arrives.

How does the sound coming out of the bolt compare to your prs custom?

well first thing I noticed was that the sound has a nice round squishy sorta tone if that makes sense. Also, the middle pickup gives a beautiful warm tone that I dind't get on the PRS - becuase there was no middle pickup. Nice clear high end - sparkly. I didn't get that as well with my PRS.

I can play up over the 12th fret and all of the notes ring nice & clear - not so on my PRS. On my PRS, notes on the lower strings when played above the 12th fret sounded real muddy - I'd work around it by playing those notes on a higher string, lower on the neck - which then caused a bit more hand movement that should have been needed. Not anymore - those low notes sound nice, so I can stay within the same position more often.

Single coil sounds brilliantly clear with the tone rolled off about 1/2 way or so. Tone above that can get real high end trebley.

One cool thing is that I can set the tone of the neck/bridge pickup to a real muddy sound that I can then switch over to real easy - so I can be playing middle pickup nice & clean., then pop on distortion & switch to neck pickup & it's that nice dirty Jerry tone. With the rotary switch on the PRS to do that would have been a chore - as well as the fact that I'd have to turn down the tone as well (since there's only one tone pot).

Flipping up to humbucking mode adds a ton of power - I don't think I'll use that option much - but sometimes during a lead if I'm using the middle & neck pickup I'll pop on the nech p/u to humbucking just to boost the low end a bit.

All in all there's a lot of variety in sound and it's very easy to switch between them. Adds a lot to your sound.
