I know someone mentioned him before, but I'll mention him again. Joe Bonamassa. If you like harder edge "hyper" blues ala Stevie Ray Vaughan then I think you'll dig this guy. In fact I tend to think he is even more versatile and seems to have a wider range of influence. I just got two of his cd's for Christmas and am looking forward to seeing him next month at HOB in Cleveland.

I haven't seen them or heard any tapes, but Medeski Martin Wood + Scofield came out with an album called Out Louder that I really like. Some great originals, and covers of Beatles' Julia and Peter Tosh's Legalize It too.

Ween, definately... especially "the mollusk" or "Quebec". (albums)

Also, ther's an all female folksy-bluegrassy outfit from up here in Canada calle "the be good tanyas" who are defiantely worth the time to find and listen to. You'll like their stuff, even if you're like me and don't particularly like female vocalists.

I love Ween and forgot about them. Everytime I play Chocolate and Cheese for my wife, she always asks who this band is again?! Didn't realize they liked the boys at all, thanks much for the song downloads! They're excellent!

I would check out browntracker.net really good site, tons of live ween bit torrents, ive gotten alot of good shit from that site. I highly recommend the 11-07-99 Somerville, MA shown on there, great sound quality, great setlist, and kickass Poopship Destroyer. Poopship is Ween's Dark Star, except with alot less complex musical interplay, and alot more retardation

I will mention him again. Go see him while he is in small clubs. He hung around after the show, seems like a real nice guy. There is some videos and stuff on his site

Within the last 5 years, I have gotten into Paddy Rock or Celtic Rock & Punk. I just happened to catch a band from Canada called the Mahones and I fell in love with them. It is great pub drinking and partying music.
