Can someone actually point to an official statement on cancelling shows?
Official statement: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Furthur regretfully will be unable to appear as scheduled at BottleRock Napa Valley on Thursday, May 9. Grateful Dead & Furthur Co-Founder Bob Weir, is unable to perform for the next several weeks.
Key words: as scheduled
I see no reason not to think that there will still be a concert sans Weir.

Or more likely, postpone it till Bobby is ready to perform.

Maybe so, maybe not.
But not being able to perform as scheduled does not = cancelled. It may, but not yet. Just saying.

Twisting the "as scheduled" part to infer that the shows will go on without BW is a pretty tortured reading...

Nothing twisted nor tortured about reading literally and knowing it could mean more than one thing.
IF they were cancelling, I'd more expect to read, "we regret to inform that the upcoming shows are cancelled and ticket refunds will be given".

Have you EVER seen an announcement saying something that was called off "as scheduled" ever actually gone on to happen? I sure haven't, but I have seen that wording in numerous cancellation announcements. It's pretty common usage of the term.
We'll see, I guess, but I think it is a disservice to get folks' hopes up that the show might go on when "all signs point to no" as the ol' magic 8 ball might say. Not that you are doing that, but it is, otoh, all over that bogus Furthur Tour FB page that Eaton is going to step in or some such.

I got this from the "Furthur" page the official band FB page... and where does it say they are playing without bob? It says Phil and bob are looking forward to hitting the road from their summer tour.
