Strummin I could go back and find the quote from you, but perhaps our time would be better spent looking forward.
Indeed. I've stickied it! I was asking because it doesn't sound like something that I'd say nor say and not do, ya know?

I'm a dope - went back looked and there she was. Looking forward to a Dead-centric discussion on the use of this tool (Jerry & Bobby)!

Cliff is looking for new rigs to model... Anyone want to loan him a proper Jerry rig with Mac and JBLs and have it show up in the next firmware release? He will do all the work if you ship it to him. I would be willing to share in shipping costs, maybe others would as well...

Started tone shaping the doubleverb to start dialing in my tone - using FRFR monitors for now. Folks using the standard cab selections or any specific direction I could look at to get more of an E120 type of sound...? The Brownface is also quite tasty! Figured out how to get my OBEL working as well...

This is a close-miked custom IR of my Hard Trucker's 2X12 cabinet with E-120 speakers.
http://playingdead.net/01E120.syx
This will only work on a Standard or Ultra, it's not the correct format for the II.

Awesome - I have the ultra...Speaking of the II - any thoughts on the difference in "feel"?

I haven't had much chance to compare but it is supposed to be vastly improved.
On the DoubleVerb model, try cranking up the presence.

This works like a champ on the II as well. You just need to run it through this free util first:
http://www.ownhammer.com/free/axe-o-matic/
Still has the 1024 resolution of the Ultra (AxeFX II support 2048) - still sounds great though.

IR has a nice rounded tone to it - thanks! I tried the presence - and rolled back on the treble at the guitar - good tip and thanks for sharing

Hey jkstraw, thanks for the link on the axe-o-matic!
Worked like a charm, I now have Vic's speaker cabinet paired up with the twin and also the deluxe in my AF2. Very satisfying.
Vic, when you are willing to post links to your other patches (I already have the envelope filter) I am looking forward to seeing how they make the transition to AF2 as well.
Looks like you may not have to spend as much time dialing in your new rig as you thought, with this new item translating Ultra patches into AF2 patches...

The tone matching sounds too good to be true. Does this serious work? And well?
Unbelievable.
