I had a Blues Junior a while ago, but to tell the truth it seemed kind of boxy and anemic. I might not have given it enough of a chance.

Anyone ever tried the Traynor Darkhorse? I might have a line on one locally, and they are supposed to do a Fendery thing in a very small package.

Most are boxy sounding but it's a good platform for mods. Mind is HEAVILY mod'd and love it! However, Fender's new Blues Jrs are supposed to have fixed those problems so you may want to check them out!

I use a super reverb with the chassis installed in a head cabinet. You can also use jj 6v6 or electro harmonix 6v6. They can handle the plate voltages. Also with the impedance mist match of the tubes/output transformer your limited to 1 12" 8 ohm speaker. with the smaller tubes bigger iron you get a little more headroom. Plenty loud on any stage environment.
