No, I am not sure at all. He may have, for all I know. Weir did introduce Cochran, though, at that show I saw. Here are some pics:

In picture 20, you can see the 2nd guitarist, and it looks like Cochran.
Those are interesting pics of a short-lived period when Weir played a Peavey F800G amp.

Peavey, eh? Cool.
Cochran even sang lead vocals on a song at that show that I have listed as "I found love".
