Work PC, XP, old IE, doesn't work. Not your issue. firewall keeps me from viewing any youtubes, etc. old IE keeps me from doing a lot of things pertinent to my job. This is not one of those things.
Home PC. Win 7. Firefox. Slow load. Spawned off Winamp until I changed the file associated for MP4s. Must be that Mac stuff, though I admit the quality of the vid is excellent. I changed the file association to VLC and it works very nicely. I try not to use IE for historical reasons but can check that. I am sure it will now spawn off to VLC w/ the file association change.
The slow load... I saw up to about 1.6 meg/sec at one point but generally saw in the high Kbytes/sec, i.e. 700 - 800.
Are you using a hosting service for your site or your own homegrown server? If homegrown, I would be interested in what you are using to serve up your content. I run an FTP server to distribute my jams to the participants (audio only but not limited to that). I would like to change that method at some point.
