+1 on him - that Bakersfield sound influenced a lot of good players Garcia being one of them. The Stones owe him a lot too - as do the Eagles, the Byrds, Poco, New Riders, Buffalo Springfield . . .

Could I recommend Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Barney Kessel, Les Paul, Lonnie Johnson, and Freddie Greene? as additions to many excellent choices.
