I caught them last year, springtime, Louden Co Music festival W/ Keller, and then in October I saw them back to back State THeatre, Falls Church VA, RamS HEad Live in Baltimore. in 07 i saw them at AllGood, and in 06, i saw them at Vibes, but didn't know who they were yet. THey are definately my favorite band that is currently making music. I've been to a show at higher ground before, but it was Jugtown Pirates, a local show. Good venue though.

[*]sunday afternoon

C#m B A

E A E
I've been drinkin', Momma, since Thursday morning
E A B
Sunday afternoon and all that I've been thinkin
'B
The days are long, and my life can't end too soon
B A E
Just me and this bottle in an empty room

The pictures hung on the wall, they speak of better times
When everything was in harmony, the world a perfect ride
Since the day you left me, my life can't end too soon
Just me and this bottle in an empty room

Your face is in places where we've been
Hauntin' my memory, it all comes floodin' back again
The sun's forever setting, and I'm howling at the moon
Me and this bottle in an empty room

This day break will be my last, ready to go home
To that land of no more trouble and sweet angelic song
I'm tired of always dreaming that my life can't end too soon
Just me and this bottle in an empty room

A B
Yeah this old familiar bottle,
A B
This damn old whiskey bottle
A B
This quickly draining bottle
B A E
In an empty room

note quite how right it is but i think it goes somthing like it[*]

This is pretty much right except for a couple parts, in the Verse it should look like this -
E A E
I've been drinkin', Momma, since Thursday morning
E A B
Sunday afternoon and all that I've been thinkin
C#m B A B
The days are long, and my life can't end too soon
B A E
Just me and this bottle in an empty room

And then there's a bridge that goes like this -
A B E
Your face is in places where we've been
A B E
Hauntin' my memory, it all comes floodin' back again
A B C#m B A B
The sun's forever setting, and I'm howling at the moon
B A E
Me and this bottle in an empty room

Other than that, I think we have the same idea of how it sounds.

I saw these guy's in Milwaukee, WI at the Pabts Theater, they got there a night early to see David Burns from the Talking Heads play. And they went out to eat before the show and gave there waitress back stage passes. Well it just so happened that I was standing up front of the stage and next to be was the waitress, she ended up leaving and giving me the passes. It made my whole year, I absolutely love YMSB and I got to go back stage and chill with Jeff and Ben, Adam and Dave were gone already guessing with the wife's but I guess Adam stayed at the hotel I did and someone saw him walk out of it. Oh yeah, and Ben's wife gave me a set list. Best Yonder show I've ever been to.

Could someone tab out "Nothin but Nothin"? Also "New Horizons" would be nice if that isn't on here.

Looking forward to AllGood this summer. Yonder is playing and so is Todd Snyder and Keller, so I assume they will play together as well. Also, Jeff is playing a set with Brendan Bayliss so there will be a whole lot of bluegrass this year.

Does anyone know what fret to capo for Half Moon Rising? The previous tab didn't put what fret, and it got all jumbled sorta. Also does anyone know the chords to Belle Parker?

Hello everyone,
I'm grateful for everyone's hard work on these pages for all the guitar tabs. It's really a great thing to be able to play these amazing songs. I was wondering if anyone had guitar tabs for the Yonder Mountain songs - Ain't Been Myself In Years, and New Deal Train?
Thanks again.
Peace and Light
Kevin

Thanks everyone who has posted here for tabbing all these songs! It's a great find. I am also seeking tabs for Ain't Been Myself in Years. I can work out a little of it:

Verse 1
B E
There's a voice blowing over the mountain
A E B
A voice I used to know
B C#m
I'll bet you ten it's her again
B ? B
That girl from long ago

B E
She wanted California
A E B
Got Oregon I hear
C#m
Seems only fair to warn ya
A B E
I ain't been myself in years

...Feedback? It's my first tab and I don't really know how to do this. I have NO IDEA how to make the boxes with code that appear on the 2007 part of this thread and I lined everything up but when I post it it changes my spacing. Argh.

A--------------------------------------------D
I'm talking to you, little girl, but you don't seem to hear me
E -------------------------------------------A
Never really listened anyway, no you never seemed to care
A------------------------------------- D
I'm walking out the door, I swear this time forever
E-----------------------------------------------A
For this hell you put me through is too much this time to bear

E-------------------------------------A
How could you tell me all those lies when you looked right in my eyes
Bm-------------------------------------E
I swear its more than my poor heart can take
A-----------------------------------------D
You've wronged me for so long that's why I tell you now
A----------------------E-------------------A
That I'm walking out the door this time forever

I've cried for you, little girl, not tears of constant sorrow
Flowin' from my soul you see now because of what you've done
My sights have set, it's true, on a future without you
For this hell you've given me, Lord, would kill an old man

How could you tell me for so long that you wer-en't doing me wrong
Now I've had all that my poor hear can take
You've wronged me for so long that's why I tell you now
That I'm walking out the door this time forever

E----------------------------A
Cold life and misery seems in store for me
Bm-----------------------------A
Punishment for my own wrongs I've done
E--------------------------------A
Living this short life alone is my destiny
D----------------------------- E7
Will that girl hear me when I cry

I'm talkin' to you, little girl, but you don't seem to hear me
But I'm hoping that you do 'cause I'm leaving now, goodbye
My sights have set, it's true, on a future without you
Now, I'm hoping that you hear me because I'm leaving now, goodbye

Oh Lord, I hope you feel the sting that only loneliness can bring
I've had more than my poor heart can take
You've wronged me for so long that's why I tell you now
That I'm walking out the door this time forever
You've wronged me for so long that's why I tell you now
That I'm walking out the door this time forever
