.....sure looks like Rosebud to me in Black Muddy River....the encore!

The whole stash box thing is silly. Jerry would only have to say...."Steve get me a joint" and there were 20K people willing to satisfy the request. Besides the fact that there were a million other places to hide your stash in the GD touring machine then something as difficult to get into as Tiger.

Now if he said he found some Persian in the battery compartment....

Except Jerry would of had had his Persian on himself or at least close by.....not in Tiger, in Parish's hands amongst people trying to get him to quit.

The whole story is like Isray trying to start an urban legend.

Just a thought for waldo:
I believe irsay is on cnbc every now and again and steve liesman is one of their top economists (if not the top). he is also a head...i think he's bobby in his band and has played with bobby and i believe phil at a different time. anyway, maybe he--or one of his band mates--is on here and can relay directly to irsay that you are not a knife wielding maniac

Even Blair Jackson in The Grateful Dead Gear Book says Jerry used Rosebud and Tiger at the last show. If this isn't true, how/who/when did the myth get started?

I was at Soldier for both nights. I was up close on the 9th. I remember Rosebud for sure. We headed for the doors after the close of the second set. I could still see pretty well for BMR and still I dont think it was Tiger. I was too far away for BOR but there is no way He switched guitars between songs. They didnt plan for BOR, Phil just kinda blurted it out. It took JG awhile to even get it going. I couldnt say for sure, but Im thinking it was Rosie. Its all alittle fuzzy he should've been playing the Bolt anyways! There must have been something wrong with it at the time. There is videos of the encores somewhere so it shouldnt be that hard to solve. I'll see if I can find it.\
I didnt see the Vids that Waldo posted, but clearly its Rosie for BMR. It had to be for BOR as well.

i cannot tell you how many things are wrong in that book, but blair got some of his research from dozin.com as well. personally i have debunked quite a bit from that book. don't know how/who/when this myth was started, but it is a myth. Jerry did not switch inbetween BMR and BOR, not enough time as fast as Phil went into BOR as JD stated. Tiger went down when Jerry started using Midi full time onstage, Wolf would have been the backup as Tiger, i believe, does not have the space for a Midi pickup and was never "retrofitted" with one as that Gear book states as well.

i'll have to research more on exactly when Bolt goes down.

peace,
waldo

It looks like all of spring 95 was the Bolt for sure. Seattle is the first time I see Rosie, but only for some of the show. Interesting to say the least. Maybe we should start a new Bolt thread?

This information was in Jon Seivert's gear book that came out after that tour. It was also the same information that was tagged on Tiger at the auction.
