Doing a JGB cover band project with my dad! Who plays drum - and was in a dead cover band back in the day (new speedway boogie band if you ever heard of them in the early 80's to early 90's, nothing to big) he got together with his old bass player and I grabbed the organ player in my band and jammed today and I feel so much more comfortable with them rather than with my band One After Another, in that band I'm always worried that someone might screw up. I guess it's cause they really understand the dynamics and the jamming much better! But it was really fun!

We need a name so we can start playing some small shows! I really have no good ones :) any idea's? And it could be song lyrics from one of there song - anything! Thanks!

I'm really working on my Jerry Style Lately - My Rythym playing as well I see how important it is during melvins solo's and how much it accents the whole band.

Thanks!

The New New Speedway Boogie Band...

Good luck whatever band name you choose.

Cats and Reflections are the only ones on that list I know to be currently in use. There is also a "Mystery Cats", although I previously used that name with two different units, between 99 and 04. There have been at least three Jerry's Kids (most notably the 20+ year run by the SF area one) but perhaps none active right now? Even more "Uncle John's Bands"...

Cats Under The Stars is the name my JGB unit plays under ( tonight at Mt Tabor!! http://www.facebook.com/catsunderthestars ), and although it never came up under a google search a few months ago (just two long-defunct ones, 1 in Chicago, 1 in Minneapolis) someone just told me the other night that there is a VT band by that name... but whatev, not going to worry about a same-named tribute 3000 miles away.

Shit, this isn't the Simon and Garfunkle board is it?!
That would be more of a Cat Stevens tribute name I think... weird, I just heard Flaming Lips cover of F&S for the first time.
