That is EXACTLY how I should start every day. That's the Stranger from Without a Net right? It must be, it is unmistakable. Great to see Jer on the wolf as well. Props your way.

I've always loved that amateur vid of 10/9/89. Nice sound and very decent camera work.

Wolf was the main axe at every show 9/30/89 thru 12/31/89, as the finishing touches were being made to Rosebud. He had begun breaking it out for MIDI Space during the last part of Summer Tour starting at either Alpine or possibly the 7/15/89 Close Encounter of the Deer Creek Kind... wow I just now 17 years later made the connection with a very probable reason they pulled that out: the movie was set in nearby Muncie, IN!! :roll:

That Desolation Row from the Knick is my favorite version of that song, ever.

That's the version that got me hooked on that song....such an amazing story Dylan wrote. And Weir does such a good job of telling it in this version. If you haven't seen/heard it yet, do so.

What the hell do you think was going through Dylan's mind writing it?

"Ah, geez. Here goes another masterpiece to my collection of one of the greatest songbooks in music history....ho hum...."

Gotta agree 100%....met my wife at that show and met and played with coolest folks after shows...first and only time I played acoustic with a stand up bass and a dobro-style square neck. Women were everywhere that weekend and TTGL I met the one that was perfect for me.
