The second set of 3/31/84 (especially the Scarlet/Fire) and the second set of 4/1/84 (love the Help/Slip/Franklins and Samson).

12/3/81 is pretty awesome too.

9-15-82 is a really good show. It starts the first set with Playin in the Band>Crazy Fingers and then hints at Playin throughout the show (never doing the reprise though). Then 6 days later they do another Playin>Crazy Fingers 1st set opener and that's a great show too (9-21-82). Great ripping versions of all the tunes played. Check out both of those shows.

Hey mttourpro,

For '85, how about the River Bend show 6/24/85 and the HJK shows 11/21 and 11/22? I've always liked those.

the two best 90's shows hands down are 12/31/90 and 10/31/91...but all eight of them (dec 27,28,30 & Oct 27,28,and 30th) are excellent, and the 27th for both runs is epic indeed.

lots of great shows beginning spring 90..cal expo, shoreline, alpine, kansas, compton terrace...man we were blessed.
Cal Expo 6/8 and 6/10 are some of Jerry's best guitar clinics as was Shoreline the next week and the 2 Oregon shows the week after that.

Im biased cause I was at them all, but I listen to the tapes along with my favorites from the late 70's and late 80's collection and they match up strong. Set Lists werent as creative or varied but Jerry peaked as a player in Fall 91 and the addition of Hornsby was superior to the Godcheaux days imho.....any show around then should be decent.

I think you meant 9-10-1991. The first set is some of the finest ever played. Perhaps best ever's of High Time and BTW.
2nd set, despite looking amazing on paper is just ok.
