I happened to be listening to me and my uncle from 1970-02-23 from the tapers section and it seems to me that bob wier is playing solo acoustic, I dont hear jerry or any other band member (only on that one song) does anyone know if this is truley the case? either way he pulls it off quite well.

I also hear Jerry playing on the last verse of MAMU. BTW, I hear Jerry's guitar and vocals on Monkey.
I think his guitar is just alot lower in the mix. Where are you thinking it's just Bobby?


Ya know Bobby and Jerry did some dual acoustic thing waiting on either Phil or Billy. I can't find that show right now. They played Silver Bells.

Yea I was aware that jerry and bob somtimes did some duets whithout the other band members, and I hear jerry in every other song in the show, it could be that he is low in the mix on me and my uncle, but he usually has some pretty distinc licks particularly in the intro that indicate his presence, it could be different becuase it is acoustic tho, either way I was just curious to see if anyone else heard the same thing, my recording is from the Tapers section which is a very clear source. either way

right before it starts bob says something like im gunna do one now, then jer chimes in for the last minute or so but all i hear is bob pre the last minute or so

On 1969-12-26 Bob & Jerry does a small, but beautiful, acoustic set while waiting for Billy who's been delayed by something. I think Phil joins in at some point. Then after UJB Billy shows up.
