how does the email draft work? Im pretty set on a live draft if everyone can get together at the same time... Im usually near a computer or at least at home on weekdays after nine, so that works with me...

BTW, the answer to my question is NO. It's either all live, pre-picked or put in afterwards .

Since I had the time today, I set up a league already. I went with what I considered pretty standard settings. They can be changed if need be later. Please check it out and lemme know if there's anything you want to see be different. I have it set up for us to do an email draft and then I'll put the teams in afterwards. I put in for 8 teams (can also be changed), so, WE NEED ONE MORE PLAYER....

Who's it gonna be?? Certainly someone else is willing to be slapped about on a weekly basis by the Steeleyerfacers....How's about one of you New England

I'd like to do a live draft too but I'm not sure we can all do that. If not, email will work.

An email draft means each person takes their pick one at a time and emails the group with their pick. We're set up for 15 rounds--that should be doable in a week or so.

Let's just see if we even get an eighth person for now. We need to have at least 8...and, actually, it would be best if we could somehow get 12 people--makes for much better competition amongst owners. If we only have 8, everyone will have a very good team regardless of knowledge.

In either case we'll do it but we HAVE to have eight people minimum or we'll have to play for overall points instead of head to head. That's fine too I guess, but I'd prefer to have a head to head schedule with playoffs.

In any event...WHO ELSE IS IN? Where's all those New England fans...IIRC, they were full of lip last year...have they suddenly run for it?

You have the known draft order and you just continue to RE: one email to all addressees when your turn comes around. Smack talk is optional, but fun.
I guess you could forward an excel spreadsheet to enter in your cell as it comes around.

The only time anybody took two days was at work when sales reps would leave town on a client visit. And then wouldn't find a way to email their fellow league members. Wankers!

Just trying to figure out what will work for all involved---as I said, I'd prefer a live draft---and, based on Django's last post, he seems to think he can do it--so, we'd simply need to find a time that'll work for everyone.

All you need to do is go to the link I posted and set up your basic team info. Gimme an email addy on a pm as well. We're gonna try to do a live draft. So, the next steps will be to make sure EVERYONE is cool with the scoring/settings of the league (which you will see when you go to the link) and then to find a time when we can all be available online.

That should be fun.

Would others also be sure to go to yahoo and register their info and team name, etc

hey man i need a password to get into the league, after that its all good, ill make time for the draft. i regretably missed out on this last year, but i had a great time with you guys when i was in it.

btw with the additions of Corey Williams and Shaun Rogers i think my BROWNS are a shoe-in for the AFC north.

me too, i got a yahoo account set up and found the log-in screen for leagues. we have the league id# but no password. if you could just hook us up with this small tidbit of information we'd glady oblige you by signing in.


Im excited about the Brownies. we havent had a challenging team since the late 80's. i was about 8 - 10 years old when that was happening. the Fumble and the Drive. boy was i upset, and then the move to Baltimore. all 4 of my high school years, 95-99, we had no football team. and now after a dismal decade back we finally have a chance.

Im hoping to draft better this time around. I did this with you guys in '06. i had the third pick i believe, and i took Brady. wish i had taken LT cause he broke the TD record that year. I remember the guy that had him was light years away from the rest of us. cept for the guy who had Manning - i think. My 2 RB's both got injured and there was nooone left to replace him at all. I think i picked up lamont jordan or someone - bah.

I don't understand why you can't see the password....I just went to the link and it was there----in any event it is jerrygarciarocks. The league name is named rukindffleague. I will copy and paste the whole thing below for anyone who is still somehow having trouble.


Also, if jjbankhead and wisedyes are in, we would be at ten players---that's better, but it would be even better if we could somehow get 2 more players. In either case, it'll be fun.

Please register asap so we can start working on a live draft time....there's only 3 people registered so far.

Maybe people can post a message on the Yahoo message board (or PM me) about when is best to do a live draft.---look around at the site---you'll see it. TJedi says weekends are not good. Django is a bit limited as well I believe. I'm thinking hopefully we can do a week night at 9 pm. We'll need about 2 hours I think.

Keep in mind that if I cannot find a good live draft time for all involved we'll be doing an email based draft. That means we'll need to get this thing going by next Monday. Please help me out and give me times that are absolutely good/bad for you.


And BTW LL, you might want to step away from the if you think the Clowns are gonna sweep the Steelers.

FWIW, I set it to draft 15 players so it would be a quicker draft. That could also change if people want it to.
Regular waiver rules apply--though I'm not exactly sure what those rules are and am trying to find out.
I believe it means the waiver wire is open to all at a specific time on tuesdays.
