so i just recieved my new taylor 110 acoustic guitar the other day, and to my suprise it did not have the ebony fretboard or bridge like it said on the specs. Im just curious on what you guys and gals would do. The ebony was a big selling point for me but i also love the rest of the guitar.
thanks and happy holidays

It all depends on how BIG a selling point it was for you.

And then there's the principle of the thing i.e. not getting what you ordered.

I wouldn't be detered by the exchange/shipping hassle, which is indeed a hassle but hey we're talkin about your gitbox here!!! You have to be cool with it!

Love my Taylor!

me personally, i wouldn't take something that i thought i was getting...it's like ordering the new cadilac and when it gets to the lot its a sunfire...

i would take it back and get what you asked for or request a discount off the price being that the guitar you ordered was not what you received as long as you are happy with what you have now...

If it's not what you expected and paid for return it for the one you did pay for...after all your probably gonna have it for a long time...you don't want to look at it a year from now and say...yeah it's nice but it's not the one I ordered....I say return it and enjoy the right one!

I would make sure I get what I wanted. I am big on the ebony as well and anything else really turns me off.

A quick look at the Taylor web site indicates that for the 110 and 210 models, the bridge and fretboard are rosewood. Ebony starts w/ the 300 series and up. Unless you special ordered it, of course. You may want to double check what you were ordering. Taylor is a very high quality guitar maker and if they screwed up a special order, then I am sure they will want to correct it pronto.
