i have the same question about how to convert .shn?

I have the FLAC freeware at home, but am in the office now. Search Google for "convert flac to wav" and you see lots of freeware.

I've been trading music for 10 years and I have yet to figure out why people use .shn instead of flac.

Anyway, here's what you need:

To play the .shn files with Windows Media Player, you need this:

Install that, then open WMP and you should be able to drag the files in and play them.

To convert the .shn files to .wav you need this (I believe this will also play and burn the files). It supports .flac as well:

Don't forget the shn codec:

Seriously agree.
- naming convention on the files is useful
- FLAC plugins are everywhere
- some portable media players support it
- most pc players support it

I hate SHN but have so many files in that format.

One more thing you guys might need for those SHN files:

That plugin will allow you to burn the SHNs straight to CD with Nero. Also, it will let you listen to the SHN files in Nero's media player if you don't want to use Windows Media Player and the links I provided in my previous post.

For flack i use a trial version of imTOO audio converter. It only lets u convert two files at a time, but you can close it and reopen it to use it again. They proally chould have checked that. HAHAH

if ya'll have mac a program called xACT, not sure if it exists for p.c., works fuckin great all the files at once usually under 7 minutes FLAC or shn to .wav
