Hello friends
Can anybody help to identify the preamp in this guitar?
The guitar has piezos in the bridge saddles and has the ceramic EMGs – so I think that this internal pre is powering both of those.
The piezos are currently not working but the EMG S pickups sound great.
I got this guitar years ago 2nd hand and have no information about it, other than it's a modded Yamaha SC600 which they made for only a few years in the 80s. Someone added a Floyd Rose style bridge w/ piezos and these EMGs.
As you can see in the photos, the only real marking is "Made in West Germany"...
