Hey everyone, so I've read that the Tone Tubby Winterland speakers are a ceramic version of the Purple Haze... based on the description from TT it sounds like they could be in the ballpark of an E120 at a lower wattage. I'm thinking of trying one in my Princeton Reverb with a 12 inch baffle, I've already done the basic JG tone stack mod.

Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the Winterland? Thanks!

I don't have experience w/ that particular one. I do have a Tone Tubby Alnico Cream 35 watt/12 in. in my vintage Princeton NO Reverb....and It sounds fabulous. It gets used alot in the studio and on tour. I bought another TT Alnico Cream for my other amps, but got a 90 watt for the bigger wattage amps.

That being said, I also have a 10 in. Alnico Gold (Celestion) in my other vintage Princeton w/Reverb that is about the best thing I've ever heard.
