Actually, Gacria played all the instruments except drums, which Billy played. What I meant to say was that the GD played most of the material in their live repertoire.

Tough question seeing as I dont really give the studio albums much of a listen these days. But id have to say Anthem of the Sun, Blues For Allah, From the Mars Hotel.

And as for live (even though anthem is kinda live) id say Reckoning.

Re bonus CD for Dead Set.

A while ago another disc was released on an ‘expanded’ Dead Set featuring more recordings from the concerts featured on the original Dead Set

Tracks included - Let It Grow, Sugaree, CC Rider, Row Jimmy to name but four.

Any CD with these tracks does it for me!!

As far as live, i love Rockin' the Rhein (China Cat!!!) and Live Dead (Cosmic version of dark star). With studio stuff, I actually really dig a lot of stuff off Terrapin (killer bonus material in the 2004 re-issue like Peggy O and Catfish John).

If we are talking live albums too I just love 'Dozin at the Knick' Maybe it cause I love Brent so much, or love the songs of the era or perhaps just cause I grew up in Albany, NY.
