I thought I would share this will you guys. Lee Owen, the lead guitarist in the dead tribute band I play bass in, Born Cross Eyed, just finished his "Jerry in a box". He and David Taylor, an amp builder in Louisville, built this thing over the last year. It is a one space rack unit that houses the Boss (or maybe MXR) distortion circuit, Octave circuit, mxr phaser, ge-7 style eq and envelope filter circiut that they basically made themselves. Also house a Fender style preamp with digital reverb. The pics suck but you can see the middle unit with all the knobs. The coolest thing is that they put a midi switcher in it. So he uses the midi footswitch and has programmed patches like a Bradshaw switcher or something. the expression pedals control the speed of the mxr and the octave pedal parameters. The other things in the rack are a Roland synth unit for the midi stuff, a Mesa 90:90 power amp.

Pretty cool setup .. Seems like a custom built analog 'Axe Fx', if you will.. Sound clips?

yeah kinda like that, except instead of modeling these are the real analog circuits. I will try to find some video from the last show. It is still being dialed in. he just tried some different LEDs on the envelope filter earlier this week.
