I need clarification on something. Did the dead cancel a run of shows at the Frost Ampitheatre July 27th and 28th??

I know they played April at the frost but can anyone shed some light on these July shows???

No cancelled July '85 dates according to Deadbase VI notes, however there were June 1985 Cal Expo shows that were cancelled so that Phil, Jerry and Bob could attend a performance of Wagner's "Ring Of The Nibelung" in San Francisco.

That's what I thought, however there are pictures of some legit looking GDTS mail order ticket stubs going around that list July 27th and July 28th 1985 at the Frost Ampitheater. I'm wondering if these tickets were printed but show never happened or something like that...weird!

the April shows were also 27 & 28; maybe just a weird misprint?

Man I so wish I'd seen the Dead there, but I was treated to lovely Sat afternoon there with JGAB and Hot Tuna 7/9/88. Buckeye Lake was kind of like a "mega-Frost" for the East.

buckeye lake is kinda like a home venue for us in this part of ohio
they have it up and running again, it's called legend valley like it was in the beginning.
DSO is having their annual 3 day gathering there over memorial day weekend and the allgood fest was there in '12 and '13.
they also host other smaller events from time to time, but there will never be anything to top those big dead shows from the '90's
good times !
