I just stumbled on this:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/grantdabas ... otostream/

Many really nice shots from Watkins Glen. Check out the speaker stacks to the right of the stage when the Allmans are set up.

There were too many pics for me to see them all. If you scroll backwards, you'll see some non-Dead photos, even some at the Fillmore East.

Enjoy!

Mean Stack O' Mc's by Phil in the second '78 photo MK.

Used to have me one of those '69 Camaro's like in your auto show pics. '83 ish. 427 w/ aluminum heads. M22 Muncie. Should've never touched that car. Shoulda stuck in the barn. Way too stupid. The year before I wrecked a '69 Mustang Mach 1. 351 Cleveland. 4-speed w/ a Hurst pistol grip I "borrowed" from a GTX in a junkyard. Thought I was a pretty great driver back then. What I found out was that I was really good at paying the speed shop large bank notes.

Cough. Cough. This diatribe brought to you by...mgbills :peas:

^^ might be my two favorite cars of all time - I had a '65 Falcon w/a 427 Cobra Jet motor - not as cool as yours but probably about as fast

Great stuff. Giants Stadium in 78 was my first show. Billy's arm was in a sling. The PA was some huge cobbled together system. This was a one-off East Coast gig done essentially to raise the money to go to Egypt two weeks later. Waylon and Willie were supposed to play before the Dead but Waylon didn't show. Willie played anyway. NRPS opened.
