"If I had the World to Give", is one of those undetected Dead tunes that is just sweet. I play this one on the cue-stick. Very sweet tune.

"Standing on the Moon", is a tune I need to listen to again. Haven't heard that one but maybe once.

Another one of my favorites is "Believe it or Not". Again a great song with a ton of emotion. Sounds sweet on the cue-stick as well.

As much of a deadhead as I am, I don't think they are the best at songs for wooing women. If I were you, I would tune my guitar to open E and play "Shelter From The Storm".

looks like rain always got to me for this reason. The man and the woman are singing the same words and expressing the same thing as the other. Making it a very true heartbreak song. I personally enjoy some of the love songs from Ween.
"I'll Miss You", "Birthday Boy", "Stay Forever".

If you really want to make a statement with Ween yu can always go with "Baby Bitch" or "Booze me up and Get me High". Maybe not the best for wooing, but for telling them to fu**off they are great!!

In addition to TLEO, Scarlet, SOTM, I'd reccommend something by Jackson Browne. 'I thought I was a Child' from For Everyman is a good song. Maybe Dylan's 'You Angel You' from Planet Waves. 'Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You' from Nashville Skyline is a great as well. I've had success with that one. Lovesong by The Cure is a sweet song too.

I'm split on To Lay Me Down, because it has a very gospelly feel to it, but then part of me always thinks its about making some love.

I wouldn't really recommend the dead for such a thing though, i would think you'd might have better luck with Cat Stevens or some good Bob Dylan ballads ( I Want You, Let Me Follow You Down, something off another side of Bob Dylan)

when I first heard the song I too thought it was about death, but then I read Conversations with the Dead, and Garcia clearly states its a love song, re-read the lyrics

I'd say Looks Like is definitely among the most romantic Dead tunes, whether the lyrics are specifically about getting the girl or getting her back.

How can one view SOTM as a love song?! I always thought it was about the stupidity of war, and the contrast between the Earth's beauty and ugliness.

In Scarlet, the singer learns to "let her pass by"...

TLMD is nice, but its a bit tedious with all the "double" choruses, and also does have some morbid double-entendres.
