I see the tabs posted but when I try to play along with the tune it doesn't seem right.

Has anyone nailed this part who can help?

Oh man, I hope someone here has this figured out because I run into the same problem. This has been a tune I've wanted to play for a while, too. It's such a weird progression in terms of chords/timing....

I've got the start and end...

Start: FFFFFFF G CCC

END: FFFFF GG G G C

It actually works by playing with D, Dm, Dsus2, Dsus4 in the middle but I know it is not right.

In the middle I hear: Am, Dm, and G and maybe a Bb.

The trouble is I can't hear Bobby or Brent clearly only Jerry, Phil and the drummers

fear not, I have played with many variationns of the chords already named, but today my brother turned up with a show featuring GSET and focusing the camera on bobby throughout said part, I intend to watch it untill I get it just right. I'll fill you in when i got it.

P.S. i apologize for al typos and mispellings, I was really hoping my Sabres would sweep the Senators tonight, but alas, I find myself half-drunk and fully disapointed. though in all farness, I knew Ottawa was too good to sweep long before we ever has the chance.

At least you're up 3-1. My Rangers must of had their vacations and golf outings scheduled early cause they didn't show up for the Devils series.

Sigh.

Yeah, Spilly! Way to go! BTW - what video do you speak of? Is it a home video or one I can go buy?

Here's to getting drunk when your team loses! Cheers, mate!

I tried figuring this out a long time ago listening to the Ace version, I think. Here's what I came up with. Forgive the reliance on notes and the lack of chord citation.

This seems to differ from what ss has already figured out so maybe I'll sit down with it again myself. Let's see what spilly comes up with with the added visuals.

I'm not sure of the name of the DVD, but it's not too new, I'm picking it up tommorow so I'll have some answers soon.

Hey Spilly, not sure if you already mentioned this elsewhere, but now that you have the DVD, what's the name of it? I want to pick it up.

ps - can't wait to see your take on GSET...I've been wanting to play that song for a long time. Thanks again.

oddly enough, the DVD is Trukin up to Buffalo, you'd think I'd remember that being as thats where I live.

anyways. It doesn't show as much bobby as I thought, but I've watched it through a few times and listened to some of my shows. there are alot of variations, some more complex than others. I'll be working on this for the next few weeks untill I perfect it, I'll give you guys the outline I've worked out for myself now, and I'll update it as I begine picking out variations and substitutions.

I think this sounds pretty good thus far (but theres always room for improvment)

One refinement from my last take on this after watching the vid. SS and I seem to be somewhat closer together on this now but still some differences.

Edited once again 8/26/06.

Right on bill-squared!

I agree with the rock/slide into the F from E in the begining.
Here is an update while playing with it more:

I = CCCCCC G C | Em G | C F | Dm F | C F
II= CCCCCC G C | Em G | C F | Dm F GGG (buildup) | C

I = CCCCCC G C | Em G | Am F | Dm F | C F
II= CCCCCC G C | Em G | Am F | Dm F GGG (buildup) | C

I = CCCCCC G C | Em G | Am7 F | Dm F | C F
II= CCCCCC G C | Em G | Am7 F | Dm F GGG (buildup) | C

From playing around with a lot of this it seems there is likely more than one way to play it and sound "right".

Where I'm at with the band is worrying about timing and cohesiveness with the bass player while working to create the right rhythm foundation the lead guitarist to does his thing.

Maybe I am over simplifying it a bit but sometimes that's okay.

I'll still keep trying the suggestions out!
