This is off no particular version, purely "the authors interpretation". I flat, ring and middle finger pick this. All notes are pretty much "stunted".

Obviously one could build many picking arrangements around this line. The main thing is the descending line, C, Bb, A, G#, to G/C.

Above is a simple one to work from.

Worth mentioning is a different take (than in the tab section) I have for the chords in the "Look around, round, round" part.

First off I play this in C, so the chords would be as follows:

Look around, round, round

-----C--------------Dm7-----Cmaj7----Dm7
e----0---------------------------------
b----1--------------3--------5-------3---
g----0--------------2--------4-------2---
d----2--------------3--------5-------3---
a----3--------------3--------3-------3---
e--------------------------------------

Not sure about the chord label (Dm7) I gave to that second form - what the forms I have cited do is keep the C bass through-out - Move the Bb bass of your Bbmaj7 up 2 frets to C and you have my Dm7 form...or whatever the correct citation would be.

How about Csus4 6-9?
Bbmaj7 w/C bass
F6 w/C bass

Cmaj7 no question
Dm7, could be but I prefer the F6 w/ C bass you also mentioned. If you ask someone to play those two chord they will only end up in the position shown using the F6 w/ C bass plus the fact that you have the C and F as bass notes.

Ah, this is great Bill. This is a very difficult song for me to grasp. I've watched every video I could find and it seems for a few of them, he's just using a pick. Then.... on one verse his hand is way down at the 9th fret or so, and he's just picking away with two fingers. You should make a vid... :D
