The Dark Hollow on the Ladies and Gents album does it sound like Jerries playing a pedal steel? To me it does, especially at the 30 sec. mark.

I can see what you mean, I do just think it's guitar though.

It's definitely guitar. He may have played some licks that reminded a bit of a steel, but Jerry's pedal steel sound was a whole lot different, very distinctive. He sounded like no other player. Listen to Dire Wolf, American Beauty and the first New Riders album and you'll hear what I mean.

Yeah after I listened to the song again then listened to some NRPS I realized that it can't be a Pedal Steel. The pedal steel has a brighter sound. Also if you want to hear some guitar that sounds just like pedal steel just listen to Positivily 4th St. from the Byrds Untitled album. Clarence White's B-bender sounds just like a steel.
