I am starting to use a rack/power amp/speaker cab system and picked up one of the Furman PST-8 to protect my gear. As you can see, it's a big strip. I have preamps, analog and digital effects units and equalizers (some gear from the 70s and 80s).
Question - Whenever I go to play clubs, there's usually cheap strips the club provides, sometimes these are fixed, and the wall outlet is not an option. How do you guys approach this situation? I know that generally, you are not supposed to plug a strip (the furman) into another strip, but is that a better than plugging into the club's $8 power strip from Home Depot? I just spent a fortune on these old racks and would like to be certain that they won't be damaged by something coming out of the wall. Thoughts? Thanks.
