Long leaf yellow pine reclaimed from a factory in Boston. Exceedingly tight grain pattern, making a cool deign on the edge. I call it 'clam shell book matching' but there probably is a better name for it....

True oil finish, SD 59 with push-pull coil tap.

Really happy with it - couple of design enhancements and finish technique improvements on my mind for the next one.

Thanks - that's my favorite part of this wood. I did a tele body using the same technique. Find a board with a long, consistent section, table saw it as symmetrically as you can, right down the middle, fold the two pieces over....and this is what happens....
