It looks like not only is the band cleaning out the warehouse but Bob is cleaning the skeletons out of his attic. The Sotheby's auction catalog is up online: https://www.sothebys.com/en/digital-cat ... nd-friends

The sale includes about 49 of Bob's guitars including a ton of Modulus, Alvarez and Casio guitars...some stage used.

Two Casio's...here is one: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction ... del-guitar

A coupe of stage used Modulus Blackknife's here is one: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction ... itar-stage

I think some estimates are quite high and others low. Seems like minimal thought went into them. For example two speaker cabs, one with the JBL’s and one empty, both with the same estimated range.

Ultimately, it’s an auction and things will sell for whatever they sell for.

Why assume hard times? I'm thinking zen. He appreciates some items and others bring no joy so selling and putting in the hands of others who will cherish.

The hard times comment was a joke. The Jerry Modulus guitars are pretty neat. One looks like it was a prototype and the other was the final product.

"For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the overprudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?
Is not dread of thirst when your well is full, the thirst that is unquenchable? ...
All you have shall some day be given;
Therefore give now, that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors’."

It’s pretty interesting what has attracted bids so far and for how much. The Chrysler bassman that they estimated at $600-800 (a steal!) has the most bids so far and is up to $3,000 already.

No bids on a lot of the guitars, but some have attracted pretty strong interest on day 1.

Agreed. Sadly, while I'm highly interested in a few, I won't go there.....
1) asking outrageous prices for "owned by" knowing he had a storage space full of free guitars at one point
2) not seeing any COA for the played on stage guitars
3) the guitars are missing specs

Not gonna pay 8k for a BK guitar without a COA and no specs. but they are pretty :)
