I used to use the Vinci stainless strings, and I loved them. There was some extra brightness and clarity. Once I could no longer get them, I could not find another stainless set so I went to D'addario XLS10 Nickle wound. They are absolutely fine, reasonably priced, easy to get. I used for years without thinking about it.

I recently decided to search again and discovered these D'addario ProSteels and I'm really liking them. I find them to be very similar to the Vinci. A little extra brightness, grit, low end burp.

Honestly, with all the more critical Jerry Tone components in place (pickups, scale, OBEL, Pre, Mcintosh), I have not found strings to make a huge difference if you are in the gauge ballpark and you keep them fresh and clean.

Try a set of these. Seriously - just try them.

I’ll put those on my to try list also, thanks for the link.

Since I have really liked the D’Addario Strings I’ve tried so far, I wanted to try these out:
2 sets of NYXL - 10-46, and 2 sets of NYXL - 11-49

Should be here Thursday
