I finally got a hold of one of these guys...

I'm already blown away by how much warmer and just more, mellow it is over the reissue version.
definitely another +1 for old stuff..

Congrats dude!

Play it in good health.

Oh and hey, can you post up some audio clips of you playing through it? I would love to hear them!

Love the look of that Phase 100! Two related thoughts...

- for folks looking for that vintage MXR warmth, I'd recommend giving the Whirlwind versions of the MXR classics a try. Their Gold Box (Dist. +), Red Box (Dyna Comp), and Orange Box (Phase 90) have some very nice tones going on.

- Vintage MXR find: I recently picked up an old Distortion II (big box, puke/gold color, AC cord). MAN!! This thing yeilds some terrific overdrive sounds. Don't know how to avoid this cliche, so here it is... Very amp-like. Very "real" compression and sag, and cleans up with picking and volume knob changes incredibly well.

Sorry to diverge a bit from the original post... Just throwing in some more praise for vintage MXR tones...
