The “gas” knob, as I understand, lifts the negative feedback control. So at 1 you have clean blackface tones, and at 9 it’s more tweed.
It’s a killer amp. I could message you the info of the guy who did the work if you wanted more details.
Please!

I was thinking about doing the Super Bear mods on my princeton, I mean I am never selling mine so I do not care if I totally kill the any value left in the amp.

American vintage '65?
Good eye, it is indeed a AV 65. Love this guitar, snagged it for a killer price
Hell of a guitar. I read somewhere that the margins on those were very low so they stopped producing them very quickly because they were competing with the custom shop stuff

I've heard that and I also heard that they were a headache for stores and customers, cause customers didn't understand it was flash nitro. I mean if you look at the thing it gets a ding, but I really like it. I have two other strats, i am keeping one modern but my first strat i still have and I wanna swap out the neck for a vintage radius.

I much prefer it after this 65 AVRI

I'm in Toronto if you want to try it any time....

10" JBL or 12"? Do you have it wired correctly?

Wired right as far as I know!
ok just wondering! I feel like a lot of folks dont know black is hot and red is ground with those old JBLs and if you have it switched the sounds is very tinny. I hear that a lot of with demos I see on youtube.

asking because I also have a K120 in my PR and it sounds different

Yeah - my guess is it’s because I don’t know how to record. Stuck my phone on the ground in front of the amp!
