Upon clicking on anyone's username, it pulls up his (I use "his" because there are fewer women here than at a Rush concert) forum profile. The profile screen includes two buttons labeled "Add friend" and "Add foe." What do those labels do?

I did a search on phpBB software firm's own forum.

Clicking on "Add foe" appears to, in the future, hide the person's posts from you. I.e., the equivalent of the Ignore buttons that other social media have.

But, strangely enough, I couldn't find anything on what "Add friend" accomplishes.
